Two-way Unimog U527/U530/U535 as equipment carrier
The two-way system for the Unimog 500 series has been adapted to the new track requirements. The required ground clearance on the track can be maintained by completely lifting the entire vehicle. The rerailing system is hydrostatically driven and can be equipped with standard and narrow-gauge track wheels.
• Multi-purpose vehicle for maintenance work on and around the track
• With fixed or interchangeable platform (10 feet) for various modules
• Road wheels raised when travelling on track, class 9A
• Track wheels interchangeable, standard (1435 mm), metre gauge (1000 mm) or tram
• Track axles hydraulically driven • Each axle with service and spring-operated parking brake
• Various mechanical and hydraulic auxiliary drives possible
• Vehicle can be raised and lowered with hydraulic road chassis
• No further tools required to swap platforms
• Optional rail brake system for trailer operation up to 400 t in combination with rail car or two-way trailer
• Attachment options for various tools on the front, rear and platform
