This was followed by an interactive workshop during which joint measures to further support members’ export activities were developed. The outcomes will now be taken forward by Swissrail together with the partners of Team Switzerland Infrastructure.

The importance of exports for the industry was clearly highlighted: 95% of Swissrail members are active internationally, and one out of every three Swiss francs is generated abroad. This makes targeted support and access to strong international networks all the more important.

A contribution from SECO Economic Cooperation and Development also provided insights into current developments and opportunities in the rail and mobility sector, particularly with regard to Ukraine.

Looking ahead, several international activities will remain a key focus, including InnoTrans, fact-finding missions to Italy, the United States and the Czech Republic, as well as an infrastructure forum in Brazil.
