Longer, higher, more attractive

Swiss railway lines are legendary and enjoy cult status. In particular the UNESCO World Heritage Albula and Bernina railway in the Grisons with loop tunnels, spectacular bridges and a summit at 2300 metres above sea level. This represents a European record for an adhesion railway.

The longest railway tunnel in the world with a length of 57 kilometres crosses the Swiss Alps and runs up to 2300 metres under the Gotthard massif.

Functionality and aesthetics characterise routes and bridge constructions from world famous engineers such as Ammann, Maillard and Menn.
