In the global railway world, IT solutions and the high degree of automation they enable are becoming increasingly important. In many cases, however, there is a lack of suitable tools, as in the implementation of new railway technologies or safety-relevant systems such as ETCS.

In many measurements and calculations, TÜV SÜD Schweiz RAIL has replaced conventional methods with software-based solutions, for example in the calculation of the effective overhead contact line impedances or the magnetic field strength and flux density. With special software we provide our customers with a highly sensitive system - for exact data as a reliable starting point for further planning.

Especially when implementing new technologies such as ETCS, innovative tools enable a safe and efficient approach. For best success in realization, we rely entirely on close cooperation with railway operators when developing software-based tools.

- SAT.engine: Satellite-based, automatic data acquisition of the railway infrastructure as the basis for a migration to ETCS
- SAT.valid: Satellite-based tool for testing and validating ETCS trackside equipment
- KEY.connect: ETCS key management for secure coding and reliable transmission of information packets for communication between vehicle and control centre
- TRACK.data: Data-based storage and management of all track data such as signals, balises, stations, switches and their properties and attributes.
- LOG.dis: Evaluation of the LOGFILES of vehicles, radio and routes during the integration process into the ETCS
SIMULATION SYSTEMS
Minimising the energy requirements of existing systems or testing new lines in advance: we use simulation systems for many of our projects worldwide. This provides our customers with meaningful data in an efficient way.
We use tools that we have developed based on our many years of experience. This train travel simulation and network calculation software has already proven itself in numerous construction projects: from trams and metro lines in local traffic to high-speed and heavy goods lines in long-distance traffic.

Effective planning of overhead contact line systems: This is possible for all types of overhead contact lines with the special ELBAS OLACAD software. The module and library-like structure allows for use in local and long-distance traffic. In addition, the manufacturer-specific construction methods and guidelines form the basis for planning.
SOFTWARE INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT
