We are known in Switzerland as a reliable and competent contact for all aspects of the railway. To maintain this position, we attach particular importance to the research and development division. So, our experts are engaged in various research and development projects. Current examples are the testing of an onboard monitoring system for the SOB and acoustic tests for different superstructure configurations on narrow bends.

The demands on the railway are constantly increasing. On the one hand, loads are increasing, for example due to the build-up of supply capacity, speed increases and the use of heavy rolling stock. In such cases, time for maintenance is usually limited. On the other hand, high safety levels, a long service life, good track condition and reduced noise emissions are required.
To meet all these requirements and challenges in the future, the railway system must, therefore, be constantly updated. We can competently support customers, helping them with their needs or providing ideas for improving their track – be it conceptually during project design, with suggestions and ideas from us, with the search for research partners, with funding or with carrying out tests and interpreting the results.
