Welding shock test press NRT
The welds of the long rails are subjected to heavy loads when installed. Flawless long rails are required for safe railway operation
During the manufacturing process of the long rails, welded sections are periodically cut out, which can be tested on the NRT weld impact test press under a load of between 2,000 and 3,000 kN. Depending on the deformation or fracture pattern of the material, information can be provided about the quality of the weld.
