NextGen Swissrail
We Are Opening Doors for the Next Generation
The mobility industry is facing exciting challenges, and Swissrail is actively shaping the future. With the NextGen Swissrail initiative, we are focusing on the talents of the next generation and aim to actively involve them in tackling these tasks. NextGen Swissrail seeks to create a dynamic, informal network that connects young professionals from the rail and mobility sectors while fostering regular exchanges.
Vision and Annual Plan for 2025
Our vision is to intentionally open up a sector that has so far been shaped by representatives of the Baby Boomer and Generation X generations to young talent. We connect young professionals, give them a strong voice, and turn them into drivers of the mobility landscape. With their innovative perspectives, they make a decisive contribution to sustainably enhancing the appeal of public transport. To achieve this goal, we have established the following annual plan for 2025:
Strengthening Our Young Network
Twice a year, we create a space for informal evening meet-ups, where participants can exchange ideas and make new connections:
- February 13, 2025, in Bern
- August 28, 2025, in Zurich
Workshop at the Swissrail Mobility Day
On May 22, 2025, we will host an interactive workshop to explore the future of mobility from a young professional’s perspective.
NextGen Expert Meeting
In Q4 2025, we will wrap up the year with a NextGen expert meeting to further deepen our exchanges.
LinkedIn Group
Our new LinkedIn group will serve as a central meeting point for connecting young members and interested individuals while sharing information about upcoming events.
We Need Your Support!
A strong network thrives on engaged members. That’s why we warmly invite you to share the survey with your young network. This will help us find motivated individuals who want to actively contribute to the NextGen network.
